The English garden of Melsungen Castle was laid out in the Weser Renaissance style. It replaced the earlier baroque garden and today you will find very old trees, small ponds and the remains of the old Melsung city wall.

Melsungen Castle. Predecessor castle from 1130. Decay after 1550. Then rebuilt in the 2nd half of the 16th century by the Landgraves Phillip and Wilhelm of Kassel-Hessen in the Weser Renaissance style. Palace park in the 18th/19th century as an English garden
