A beautiful, large hiking shelter that invites you to take a rest even without bad weather.
There is also one of the nine stamp boxes for the Melsunger Land tourist region here. The stamp card and further information can be found here: melsunger-land.de/media/touren/wanderlust-waldliebe-stempelglueck#/article/717a9d65-03d0-4e3f-8def-a4df1ab3cea0

The snake house was built in 1905 and is the oldest refuge in the Melsung city forest. The place used to be called Herkulesblick, because from there you could see the landmark of Kassel. Today the trees are unfortunately too tall, but the place is still beautiful. The inscriptions in the hut by former patients of the lung sanatorium (today B. Braun), who immortalized themselves there (partly on tablets), are interesting.
