On the eastern front of the Bäckergildehaus you can see the coat of arms of the baker's guild, the uncrowned Goslar eagle with a wake as a heart sign and other baked goods. A wonderful bay window, built on wooden struts, adorns the half-timbered structure of the upper floor, which was only later added to the massive basement in 1557. From these houses you can see how the bourgeoisie grew in strength and blossomed.
