The prince-bishop's deputy resided in this courtyard. After the turmoil and destruction in the Middle Ages, the courtyard complex, which is now privately owned and can therefore only be viewed from the outside, was rebuilt in the 17th century.

The Prince-Bishop of Münster had had an official court in Billerbeck since 1217 at the latest. In the 15th century (probably 1445) a castle was built on the same site, the remains of the tower and vaults are still preserved. Until the abolition of the Principality of Münster in 1803, the Richthof was the seat of the city judge.
The current building with its picturesque moat dates from 1820. It is a closed four-wing building around a small inner courtyard. The Richthof has been owned by the family since 1820, and they still live in it today. The Richthof belongs to the most important secular legacy of Billerbeck.
      Archdeaconate
On the south side of the beautifully restored Johanniskirchplatz is the Archidiakonatshof, an architectural monument of supra-local importance. Until 1825 the diocese of Münster was divided into arichidiaconates as ecclesiastical administrative units. One of these archdeacons had his seat in Billerbeck. He had the privilege of owning his own house - a curia. The house from the early 16th century is one of Billerbeck's oldest buildings. Today's main building was added at right angles to the sandstone building with a hall-like basement.
Above the entrance there is a coat of arms of the archdeacon Wilhelm Freiherr von Fürstenberg (1623 - 1699).

It is located directly on Johannikirchplatz which is a highlight in Billerbeck.
