Located on the outskirts of the immediate town center and still worth a visit. In the courtyard there is a small fountain for "refreshment for hikers"

Built in 1688, the Town Hall / Ratshof has been in glorious splendor since the 1990s. The small town Hohnstein is worth a visit.

The building was built in 1688, making it the oldest half-timbered building in the city of Hohnstein.

The original function of the building was a brewery with a bar and apartments. In 1835 the first cork factory was built there. In 1917 the building was converted into the town hall according to plans by the architect and builder Waldemar Kandler. The colored city arms were incorporated into the portal.

The buried old cellar vaults were cleared and, after a thorough restoration, the Ratskeller was furnished.

A side building with an arcade is also part of the main building. The small inner courtyard is decorated with a water trough carved out of a sandstone block.

In 1991/1992 the entire ensemble was extensively reconstructed and renovated.

The town hall is especially pretty when a couple has married again in this beautiful setting and there is a little celebration in front of the house. On the left side of the town hall there is also a very nice place to take a successful wedding photo.
