Location: Hohnstein, Saxon Switzerland-East Ore Mountains, Saxony, Germany
A narrow gorge below Hohenstein Castle. Natural hiking trail from the Polenztal to the Bärenzwinger and then up towards Hohenstein Castle or following the nature trail towards Gautschgrotte. Due to the clean air, the clean water and the cool cellar climate, rare lichens, mosses and ferns grow here on the rock walls, some of which are quite close together. The path follows the stream. At the end are the ruined remains of the wall of the Bärenzwinger of Hohenstein Castle.
