The Egelsee is a moor lake and is located directly on the border with Germany. This makes it the north-easternmost lake in Kufstein, and because of its beautiful sea and pond roses, including the protected yellow pond rose, it has been declared a protected area. So you are not allowed to swim here, especially since the lake is also privately owned, but you can enjoy the wonderful atmosphere on a quiet hike.
