Lieberose Castle with its extensive park is one of the largest baroque castles in the state of Brandenburg.

The small town of Lieberose is located in the Oberspreewald, surrounded by meadows, forests and lakes. Bounded in the west by the Schwielochsee and in the east by the Schlaubetal, Lieberose offers a wealth of excursion options in a delightful natural landscape.
    Attractions

The town center of Lieberose fell victim to several fires in the Middle Ages, so that the development essentially goes back to the 18th and 19th centuries. One of the city's most famous monuments is Lieberose Castle, which is one of the largest baroque castles in the state of Brandenburg and is surrounded by a 34-hectare park. The Saxon postal mileage column from 1737 is a testimony from the reign of August the Strong, who had the postal columns erected in the cities of the Electorate of Saxony in order to be able to calculate distance and postage. The city church Lieberose was in 15./16. Built in the Gothic style in the 12th century, it was destroyed during World War II (except the tower). Since then she is a ruin.
