The Hachinger Bach is the only river that rises, to the right of the Isar, within the Munich gravel plain. It flows south of Munich through the towns of Oberhaching, Taufkirchen, Unterhaching and the Unterbiberg district of Neubiberg and enters the Munich city area in Perlach. From the infiltration point in Berg am Laim it flows underground through a pipe. It is almost twelve kilometers long.
