The Igne wooden walkway, suspended over a canyon 125 meters high, was built in 1973. It is not recommended for those suffering from vertigo, also because, being suspended on steel cables, it oscillates at every step.
The red-colored structure is suspended above the Maè stream and was built in memory of the cableway operators, well known for their ability to build the cableways that were used to bring the cut logs downstream.

Built in 1973, the Igne walkway (Longarone) is an artifact that recalls the cableway operators of the area, famous in Italy and abroad. You walk on a wooden passage, 125 meters above an overhang certainly not suitable for those suffering from vertigo. However, the work is safe and can be easily visited.
