It is not known when the first mill was built on this site. It was called Röthmühle (Röth = reddish dye obtained from the roots). The mill belonged to the Speyer monastery and was first mentioned at the end of the 13th century. Today's Rehbach is said to have been called Röthbach at the time. The grinding operation was stopped in 1971. A turbine has been generating electricity since 1983. The mill has been used as an event location since 2018 under the name "Gut Rehbach".
