The Aumühle was built in 1858. In January 1932 the mill was set on fire by its owners at the time because of high debts. The couple was imprisoned for three years because of arson. In the summer of 1932, the rubble mill was sold and rebuilt. Mill operations were not resumed. An undershot mill wheel has been used since 1986 to generate electricity for personal use. Excess quantities are given to the Haßloch municipal works. The owners run a restaurant in the mill buildings.
