The Old Town Hall (address: Marktplatz 12) was built in 1577 with three floors, a wooden interior and originally a gabled roof. Since there was a town hall in every country town of the Bishopric of Würzburg that served as a department store, it is likely that there was a previous building on the same site before 1577.
