Schönbusch Palace

Schönbusch Landscape Park is perfect for walking. Many ways can be combined with each other, so that it never gets boring. But you should be there early and better not at the weekend, as it is very busy.

Schönbusch Palace is located slightly above the lake and in direct line of sight to Johannisburg Palace. It was built from 1778 and was completed in 1788. The Elector Archbishop of Mainz, Friedrich Karl von Erthal (r. 1774–1802), had this classicist summer palace built by the architect Emanuel Joseph von Herigoyen (1746–1817). He also designed the other park buildings in the Schönbusch Landscape Park.

Beautiful little castle.
If you run around the lake, you'll inevitably pass by here.
By the way, it has nothing to do with Johannesburg Castle.
