For the outside shoot of the American series “Homeland”, all the lights near the Jacobi Church in Nauen had to go out on Friday night. Nauen once again became a film location. Some fans waited for hours to see actress Claire Danes.

The steeple of the Jacobi Church in Nauen remained pitch black last Friday. Otherwise it always shines brightly when it gets dark. But not this evening: For the outdoor shoot of the American series “Homeland”, all the lights near the church had to go out. The crew even brought their own emergency power generators and security officials hadn't let anyone into the church since 4 p.m. Martin-Luther-Platz and Jüdenstrasse had been closed since 6 p.m., and stopping bans were set up on Mittelstrasse and Goethestrasse. State of emergency for Hollywood.

An information board is located in the passage to the inner courtyard.

The Martin-Luther-Platz and the old town of Nauen with the Jakobi Church are worthwhile destinations.
