Erzkogel Summit Cross

If you take the Hochalmweg, this leads directly to the summit cross on the Erzkogel, where there is also a summit book. From the summit cross you can already see the last part of the way to the Sonnwendstein and the Pollereshütte.

And of course you can enjoy an amazing view. The view towards Schneeberg and Rax is unfortunately blocked by the many tall trees directly from the summit. You can already enjoy this panorama sufficiently on the Hochalmweg. If you decide to come via the ridge path, you either have to walk a bit uphill over the cow pasture or you follow the path and then walk a little bit back to the summit cross.

The summit cross on the Erzkogel marks the panoramic high point of this tranquil mountain in the Semmering region. From up here, the view extends far over the surrounding forests to the striking peaks of the Rax and Schneeberg. The cross stands on an open section of the ridge and invites you to pause for a moment and enjoy the impressive mountain scenery.
