Best Hikes to Gamperlgraben Viaduct

Tips

  • The Gamperlgraben viaduct, built between 1848 and 1854, is one of the more impressive viaducts along the Ghega railway line between Klamm and Semmering, with 7 arches on the second floor and 5 on the lower floor. The greatest height is 37 m, the span is 12.3 m at the top and 9.5 m at the bottom.
The path leads through the viaduct twice, so you can admire it from below and above :)

  • Viaduct completely renovated / renewed, even if "new" still gives the idea of the grandeur of the work of the time. The only flaw, although the path was well marked, was poorly maintained.
