Mountain biking

The quarry above Braunhausen contains a rich limestone deposit. The limestone quarry between Gilfershausen and Braunhausen is to be expanded with a multi-million dollar project. In a referendum in January 2021, the majority of Bebra's citizens will vote in favor of expanding the dismantling.
A beautiful patch of nature that will soon be razed to the ground, sad but true.
