Absolutely worth seeing, simple on the outside, pomp and gold on the inside.
The town church and 176 houses were destroyed in a town fire in 1735. There was space for the Frauenkirche on the vacated site. The famous master builder: Dominikus Zimmermann, who later also built the Wieskirche. The ceiling frescoes show groups of figures from the then known continents.
