There's no two ways about it, if you're going to Vasstindbu, you're going to have to face a steep slog at some point, either from the west or the south-east. One of the benefits of this steep pull is the glorious views across towards Helvetestinden and Kvitfjellet, with Sjøvdola rising imperiously beyond.
