Helvetesbotn is a magnificent cirque containing an egg-shaped mountain pool surrounded on three sides by huge mountains. In good weather, you can traverse the cirque’s southern skyline, taking in Nordre Gråfjell, Søndre Gråfjell and Helvetestinden. The DNT cabin Svartvassbu is ideally located for exploring this area.
