The initiative to build an Evangelical church in Wejsuny came from the parish priest, Father Heinrich Kull, who had been there since 1895. The church in the neo-Gothic style was built in the years 1908–1910, and its consecration ceremony took place on November 27, 1910, during the time of the parish priest, Father Rudolf Wisniewski. The church was equipped with pneumatic action and foot drive organs manufactured by Paul Voelkner's company from Bydgoszcz. In 1911, two bells were placed in the tower.

The church escaped destruction during World War II, as well as occupation by the Roman Catholic Church, as the only Evangelical church in the Pisz district. Attempts to take the church back were made twice, in 1950 and 1979. The parishioners spent the night in the building, armed with scythes and sickles, guarding the church.
