The church building, which lies in the middle of the village, goes back to the late Middle Ages in its eastern parts.
The window axis to the west was added to the building in the middle of the 18th century. In the second half of the 19th century, the interior was gradually renovated.
When war damage was repaired, an interior restoration was carried out between 1950 and 1953, during which the Nazarene interior design was whitewashed.

Denzingen was first mentioned in the 12th century when the cleric Sigeboto of Günzburg donated a mill in “Tainzingen” (= Denzingen) to the St. Ulrich and Afra monastery in Augsburg.
On September 12, 1944, an American bombing raid took place on Denzingen, in which nine people died and numerous residents were wounded.[1] Ammunition trains, the factory halls of Peikert-Werke AG and a large part of the surrounding area were also destroyed.
