View from Schwedenschanze

From the district of Dornberg you can see the Kaiser Friedrich Memorial Hut, a refuge, which is often called the Swedish hill in the vernacular, clearly on the Bußberg of the Teutoburg Forest at an altitude of 306.2 m. The Schwedenschanze can be reached on foot from numerous locations. If you arrive at the Schwedenschanze after a sometimes strenuous walk, you will be rewarded with a wonderful view over the Ravensberger Land. In addition, you can strengthen on Sundays and by prior arrangement with the landlord in the refuge for the way back.

Very nice view of Bielefeld in two directions

Steep, scree rise, but worth it. Great view on both sides of Teuto and picnic areas. If you are lucky and there at the right time there is even something to eat.
