Seven mountains are passed during this tour, during which you hike along the last remaining juniper heaths of Steinhagen.

More than 1 million of these warmth-loving plants then illuminate the still barren forest and its soil, which at this time is still leafless and without flowers waiting for spring.
On the Kammweg - directly opposite the Wacholderheiden - the hiker can then get to know the figures of "Hermann and Anna" during a relaxed break at a themed rest area of the Hermannshöhen.
You can listen to a story via a solar-powered audio module and learn a little more about the juniper berry and the history of the Steinhagen distillery.
After the next ascent to the Schwedenschanze, hikers will be rewarded for their efforts with fantastic views of the Munsterland plain and the Ravensberger Land.
