The Kerkom brewery farm is more than a brewery or a farm. The brewery was founded by Evarist Clerinx in 1878, around 1936 son Paul took over and in 1952 it was Jean Clerinx's turn. Jean was forced to close the brewery in 1968 like so many others. But bitten by the brewing bug, Jean set up the current brewery again in 1988 after he was retired. From that moment on, the blond BINK was born and they soon knew around Sint-Truiden that there was life again in the brewery.
Since 1999, Jean has literally and figuratively passed on the stirring stick to Marc, a beer lover and brewer in heart and soul.
Two new seasonal beers have been brewed since 2000: de Bloesem Bink, a red beer enriched with honey from Sint-Truiden and pear syrup from Vrolingen. In the winter you can enjoy the Winterkoninkske, a heartwarming dark beer.
