Pure nature!
Rarely can you get so close to the Soeste on your way to the dam. Here you can follow the Soeste on a natural meadow path, which is partially fastened with wooden planks, and enjoy the beauty of the landscape. After long rains very wet and difficult to drive. But always nice.

Hiking
You hike through a meadow landscape - sometimes through grass, sometimes over boardwalks, but always within sight and touch of the meandering river here. Am glad to have found this place. Hardly any frequency! Long pants and good (hiking) shoes are recommended, as stinging nettles and wet sections sometimes make it difficult to get through.

Actually, it's a great trail. Since it's apparently no longer maintained, walking it is a bit of an adventure. The grass and nettles grow several meters high. You also have to climb over and through many fallen trees. Avoiding the trees is often impossible due to the swampy terrain. There are also many swampy sections, even during prolonged dry periods! Waterproof shoes are a good idea here. I would recommend winter, preferably during frost, or early spring. Then at least the vegetation is more limited.
