On the plateau of the Cirque de Lescun, in the pastoral area, there are three small huts built in the shelter of impressive rocks. Unguarded in winter, you can take a break or even spend the night there.

Here you can buy cheese from the Schäfer and there is a spring at the hut. The cheese was delicious. The picture shows the smaller hut. Cheese and water can be seen in the hut above on the 2nd picture.

The Ansabère Huts (Cabanes d'Ansabère) are as charming and laid-back as it gets. These little stone huts are used by local shepherds making fresh mountain cheese all summer long, and if you're lucky, you can even buy some right on the spot!
