At 635.5 m, the Eisenberg is the highest mountain in the Knüllgebirge. It is located in the municipal areas of Neuenstein and Kirchheim in the eastern Hessian district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg. On the mountain are the Borgmannturm observation tower, a hotel, the Heussner-Haus hiking home and the 115m high telecommunications tower of Deutsche Telekom.
