Premonstratensian monastery was built in the historic ring wall in 1216. All that remains of the monastery is a stone and a water mill.

A walk through the forest is worthwhile: the forest nature trail provides information about the animals and plants of the forest and children can let off steam on the forest playground.

The Heiligenberg monastery mill and the historic forester's house are also very popular restaurants for excursions.
