The Zadnjica Valley (the locals call it Zajenca) is one of the most typically glacially transformed valleys in Slovenia. It is located in the Triglav National Park, between Trento and the western walls of Triglav and Kanjavec.

The Zadnjica valley branches off from the Soča valley near the village of Na Logu. It penetrates deep into the heart of the Triglav Mountains. It is limited by the peaks: Zadnjiški Ozebnik (2083 m), Vršac (2194 m), Kanjavec (2569 m), Triglav (2864 m) and the high Kriški podi with the surrounding peaks. The precipices above the valley have the largest height difference in the Julian Alps. Here rise the 1400 m high walls of Kanjavec and Vršac, only a few sides are the southwestern slopes of Triglav. The wild gorge of the Korita descends into the gorge of the Zadnjica valley from the Luknja pass (1758 m).

Buttocks is one of the wildest areas in the Julian Alps. Here, in the rocky slopes, in addition to the overgrown ribs, smoothed gutters and snowdrifts, we also see shelves and walls falling into the canopy of the valley. These walls are a paradise for chamois and ibex; the alpine ibex was settled here in 1964, from where it spread throughout the Julian Alps.

Beli potok and Krajcarica (also called Zadnjica) flow in the valley, which together represent the most watery tributary of the Soča in Trenta.

In the Zadnjica valley, every hiker can experience a part of the alpine world from flowers, animals, mountains to waterfalls and landslides that thunder into the valley in the spring.

This valley of exceptional views boasts excellent starting points to seemingly inaccessible peaks. Zatrep doline is the starting point for the ascent to Triglav via Dolič and a visit to the Triglav Lakes Valley via Prehodavci.

Even experienced climbers can find satisfaction in the walls of Kanjavec and Vršac.

The list of natural values of national importance includes:

Krajcarica stream (hydrological, geomorphological, zoological), its springs (hydrological) and its troughs (hydrological, geomorphological),
    hilly meadows in Zadnjica (geomorphological).
