The bridge was built with four round arches, approximately 70 meters long and over 70 meters high
20 meters. It was erected above a natural dam of limestone mass that crosses the river
from one side to the other and continue on the right up to the Mill. The dam produces a drop in the river
of approximately 10 metres.
The exact origins of the bridge are not known, as the sources are conflicting:
some date it back to Roman times, others indicate its construction in the 16th century
together with the Mill.
