In 2017, former fruit grower Jos Boyen, at the age of 75, left his vineyard to a colleague, Jos Vanlaer van de Kluisberg. He learned to make wine from Jos Daems (Rillaar, almost the pioneer of wine growing in the Hageland) and Jan Bellefroid (Borgloon) and started in 1976. The farm remains beautiful to see.
