The then well gardener Carl Thon often spent his professional time in Sirmione on Lake Garda until 1913. He transferred his memory of Italy to the design of the sun garden, the former area of the fountain nursery. With its temple and the three fountain fountains as well as the corresponding planting and border, a touch of southern flair hovers over the sun garden. The complex with the stone-carved vases, which is still preserved today, embodies Thon's dream of Italy. On the opposite side is the Park of the Senses, a barefoot path inviting you to try it out.
