Hiking

The lowland castle was first mentioned in a document from the Liesborn monastery in 1248, and excavations in 1987 confirmed this date. The castle had a two-and-a-half-meter-thick quarry stone wall and a Romanesque residential tower with a side length of around 22 meters. You can enter the site; access is available via the "Zum Amt" street.
