Small church in a lovely location. Too bad it was closed when I passed. Some photos of the interior would be useful.

      The little church of Crero

Interesting little church with modern art at the entrance.
This small church is located in Crero, a settlement founded in the Middle Ages surrounded by olive trees. The Chiesetta di San Siro was built in 1713 by a certain Francesco Consolini, but the church tower was only built in 1880. From the church you can enjoy a view over the entire upper part of Lake Garda.

Small religious building north of the characteristic district of Crero; the oratory of Saints Siro and Libera is located in a splendid position, overlooking the Val Vanzana, and dominating the lake.
It was built by Francesco Consolini in 1713, as can be read in documents of the time and on the door jamb F. C. F. F. 1713 P. S. D. but it was consecrated six years later by the archpriest of Garda. Of course, he had a chaplain who cared for the inhabitants of the nearby district of Crero, populated for a very long time by people from San Zeno di Montagna.

The bell tower was built in 1880 by the district of Crero and the neighboring ones (Cavrie, La Pozza and S. Felice...).
The little church and the district come alive on December 9th, the feast of San Siro.

Beautiful little church in a panoramic position. I have passed by several times but I have always found it closed. Too bad...
