Mountain biking
"The useful with the beautiful" was the motto of Prince Franz of Anhalt-Dessau. The landscape design created under his reign together with his friend Friedrich Wilhelm von Erdmannsdorff included not only palaces, parks and gardens, but also flood protection on the Elbe and Mulde. The wall watch houses built between 1770 and 1800 were also included in the landscape design. Today they are the gems on the cycle and hiking trails of the Dessau-Wörlitz Garden Kingdom, which is a World Heritage Site.
