At this point there is a reconstruction of the former wildlife park wall. King Frederick I had this wall built in 1814. However, the wildlife park only lasted until 1839. The wall was torn down again. Game within the wall was not allowed to be hunted by the common people; this was reserved for the nobility. Outside, however, anyone was allowed to hunt. This represented a change in thinking. Now the people could also use game as a source of food.

This reconstruction from 2012 is intended to illustrate the dimensions of the old park masonry. It is located near Baltmannsweiler in the Esslingen district in Baden-Württemberg.

      - not a faithful replica
      - Once a 2-high wall surrounded the wildlife park, which was used by King Frederick I, among others
      - There is a boundary stone next to the reconstruction
      - There is an information board about the bricklayers of that time

Location and history: The former hunting lodge is located north of the weisser Stein landfill and the town of Aichschützen at the intersection of the Esslingerweg and the Kirschbaumweg.
A large game reserve was then created there for hunting.
The first game reserves in the Schurwald probably came from Duke Eberhard Ludwig of Württemberg (1677–1733). Duke Carl Eugen and King Friedrich I expanded the wildlife park, which was ultimately surrounded by a two-meter-high wall and whose entrances to the east and west were secured by guard houses.
The remains of the wildlife park wall can be seen here.
The wildlife park was surrounded by a two meter high wall. A small piece of the wildlife park wall was recreated. All of these things are presented and explained on information boards.
