When the "Anna Chapel" became too small to accommodate the large number of pilgrims and prayers, Georg Eismann developed the plan to build a larger chapel in which the sacrifice of the Mass could also be celebrated: today's "Marienkapelle", the cornerstone of which was laid in 1867 took place.

As visible evidence of his expiatory pilgrimage, "Georg Eismann" was given a wood-carved copy of the miraculous image with the order to build a small chapel for it at home. Soon afterwards a small chapel made of wood and stone was built on the Lohranger and "the pilgrims flocked there". When this became ruinous, the community built a stone chapel in 1847 for the statue of Our Lady, today's "Anna Chapel".
