There are two dams in the Marienheide area: Brucher and Lingese. Bathing areas are designated at both.

Bathing allowed. The Lingese dam in Marienfelde offers many small bays and entrances where you can swim. So the bathers are well distributed. Three of them are run as official bathing places, which are temporarily occupied by DLRG stations during the bathing season.
The three supervised swimming areas are:
    1) "DLRG" (at the campsite "Lingese"),
    2) "campsite" (on the north side of the dam at the campsite Lambacher Höhe),
    3) "Linge" (height village Linge).
Also water sports are allowed - except diving and surfing.
Parking is available nearby at all three official swimming areas. In "Linge" also stops bus 339 (at the same stop).

Very pleasant for families. Not too strong mountains with it.

One of many dams in our area where you can stretch your legs without effort.

The Lingese dam is one of the oldest dams in the Wupper Association and today offers all kinds of water sports.

    Bathing spots are at:
    - DLRG station
    - campsite
    - On the linge

The dam can be circled easily along the bank with about 5 km. There, a fish nature trail provides detailed information about life below the water surface.

The panoramic trail of the Bergisches Wanderland invites you to hike, as well as other great hiking trails directly past the dam.

    Arrival by public transport:
e.g. from Cologne main station (platform 10) with the regional train RB25 direction Meinerzhagen
    Stop: Marienheide
Then take bus 336 from Marienheide Bf direction: Lennep Bahnhof, Remscheid
    Low-floor vehicle
    Stop: Rüggeberg, Marienheide
Continue on foot for around 18 minutes to Marienheide, Linger Straße 53
