Hiking

The landmark boulder with the inscription "Prussian Hat." This name refers to four private forest plots that together form a triangular area, comparable to a Prussian tricorn hat. The original names "Prussian Hat" and "Seevenholz" originated colloquially among forest owners and have not yet been officially confirmed. However, the name "Prussian Hat" is certainly questionable from a historical perspective, as the plots in question were created in 1842, thus during the existence of the Kingdom of Hanover. "Hannöverscher Hat" would also have been conceivable, as tricorn hats were once worn in the Kingdom of Hanover as well.
