The construction of a roadside cap is related to the choice of Gąski as a potential place for the construction of a nuclear power plant. When these plans were announced, there was massive opposition from the local population. However, Żarnowiec (near Gdańsk) was chosen for the construction site of the power plant and the chapel remains as a souvenir.
