Spirito Santo Rock Sanctuary

The crypt, dating back to the 10th century AD. and well preserved, despite the thefts and alterations suffered over the centuries, it is a classic example of a rock church, serving in this case the ancient settlements of Lama Don Angelo and Lama Don Giovanni.
Unfortunately it is almost always closed and it is not possible to visit the interior, rich in frescoes of Latin and Greek worship.

The crypt of the Holy Spirit, a true underground church, is located south-west of the city, near the cemetery.
Inside it is divided into three naves, punctuated by columns and round arches and closed by as many apses.

Its pillars, each equipped with a different capital, with vegetal and human motifs, articulate a pseudo cross ceiling and give the crypt a "Basilica" appearance.
