Kronast Castle Ruins

The castle ruin Kronest (also: Bibrachstein) is the ruin of a hilltop castle at 600 m above sea level. A. about two kilometers north of Neumarkt in the Mühlviertel in Upper Austria. Kronest Castle was first mentioned in a document around 1334, and it was no longer inhabited by 1609.

Heavily dilapidated ruins, according to the residents actually already dangerous to stay there.

A large corner area of the large walls is no longer there! Collapsed! What a pity!
