The Mont Noir Military Cemetery is located in Saint-Janskappel, France, on the southern slopes of the Zwarteberg. The cemetery was established during the First World War and contains the graves of both British and French soldiers.
The cemetery was designed by Wilfred Von Berg and is maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. It contains the graves of 151 British soldiers, 17 of whom are unidentified, as well as 84 French soldiers from the First World War. There are also two unidentified British soldiers from the Second World War buried there.
The site is historically significant because the Zwarteberg had been in Allied hands since October 1914 and was held during the German spring offensive of 1918.
