Due to secularization, the chapel, which once belonged to the Weyarn monastery, came into the possession of the community - then Holzolling. Since then, the Seeham village community has been taking care of its preservation with a lot of their own work. Extensive renovations were carried out on the chapel in 1933, 1959, 1986 and 2017.
