The Three Peaks of Lavaredo in South Tyrol are the symbol of the Dolomites and a true landscape highlight in the area of the 3 Peaks in the Dolomites. The 3 Peaks of Lavaredo are located in the Tre Cime Natural Park and, together with other Dolomite peaks, were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009. The view of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo in the Dolomites is wonderful from all sides. To admire these three massifs up close, in the summer you can follow a route through Misurina to reach the Auronzo Hut. The one from Cortina necessarily involves climbing the Tre Croci pass (8 km of ascent with an average gradient of 7%, but with an irregular pattern and decidedly harder toes).

For those coming from Dobbiaco and Val Pusteria instead, the climb begins in Carbonin, about 7 km from Misurina, which, however, you do not pass through because in this case the crossroads for the Tre Cime precedes the lake on the left.

A third route, the longest and most demanding, involves the ascent from Auronzo di Cadore, at an altitude of 862, with the overcoming of a considerable difference in altitude. But whichever road you take, the real test is from Misurina onwards. From this point, the distance to the Auronzo refuge is about seven and a half kilometres, part of which, however, is not uphill; on the other hand, what remains is concentrated.

This is a wonderful spot to fully appreciate the view of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Since 2009 these splendid Dolomite mountains have been part of the Unesco heritage.

Arrival of the legendary climb, the point from which the paths begin and from which you can enjoy an excellent view of the iconic peaks
