At this point there is a monument from 1913 in the middle of the forest, hardly noticed by anyone. This monument should also be in this location because it is on the former post route between Meppen and Haselünne. It commemorates the 25th anniversary of the reign of Kaiser Wilhelm and the wars of freedom a hundred years earlier. I hope that this monument does not fall victim to the expansion of the E233, after all it has been here for more than 100 years, even if it is hardly noticed. But that's only because of the somewhat remote location.
