The pilgrimage bridge dating back to 1520 leads to the village, one of the most beautiful villages of the Aveyron. The houses of Estaing are close together in the small alleys around the former castle of the once influential d'Estaing family. The name of d'Estaing and the castle were bought in 1922 by the family Valéry Giscard d'Estaing (French President of the Szas of 1974-81).
