Even today, the station building (notably away from any place or settlement) still looks impressive and is reminiscent of the former railway line between Kappel-Gutachbrücke, Lenzkirch and Bonndorf. Due to its switchback course, the line was also decried as the worst-routed Baden state railway line. In 1966 the regular passenger traffic was stopped, in 1977 the occasional seasonal and freight traffic was also ended.
